This Privacy Policy explains how DowPlay collects, uses and shares information when You use our mobile apps and games, our web games, or our website, and tells You about Your privacy rights.

DowPlay is an independent game developer based in Morocco. We publish apps and games on the Apple App Store and Google Play, and free engineering games for students on dowplay.com.

By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

Developer (referred to as either “DowPlay”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this Privacy Policy) refers to DowPlay, an independent developer located at 23 Av. Oqba Ibn Naafi, Rabat, Morocco.
Application means any mobile app or game published by the Developer on the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Website refers to dowplay.com, including the web games hosted on it.
Service refers to the Applications and the Website.
Country refers to: Morocco.
Device means any device that can access the Service such as a computer, a cellphone or a digital tablet.
Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit or the type of device used).
Service Provider means any company that processes data on behalf of the Developer, such as advertising networks, analytics providers, app stores and hosting providers.
You means the individual accessing or using the Service.

Information We Collect

We do not require You to create an account to use our games. If You contact Us by email or through the contact form on the Website, We receive Your name, Your email address and the content of Your message. We use this information only to reply to You.

Information collected automatically

When You use the Service, some information is collected automatically, by Us or by our Service Providers, such as:

Your Device’s IP address, Device type and model, operating system and its version, browser type, language and approximate location (country or city level, derived from the IP address)
Unique Device identifiers, including the advertising identifier of Your mobile Device (Google Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iOS when You allow tracking)
How You use the Service, for example the pages You visit, the games You play, the time spent in them, and crash and performance data

Cookies and similar technologies

Website: with Your consent, the Website uses cookies from Google Analytics to measure how visitors use it (see “Analytics” below). You can accept or decline these cookies in the banner shown on Your first visit, and change Your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
Web games: our web games may save Your progress, settings and best scores in Your browser’s local storage. This data stays on Your Device and is not sent to Us.
Applications: the advertising and analytics tools built into our Applications use Device identifiers and similar technologies as described below.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

Provide, operate and maintain the Service
Show advertisements in our Applications, which keeps our games free
Process and restore in-app purchases
Understand how the Service is used, so We can fix bugs and improve our games
Reply to Your messages and support requests
Detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security issues

Advertising

Some of our Applications show advertisements provided by Google AdMob and, in some Applications, by other advertising networks. These networks may collect and use Your Device’s advertising identifier, IP address, Device information and information about Your interaction with ads in order to show ads, measure their performance and prevent fraud. Depending on Your choices and Your location, ads may be personalized to Your interests or non-personalized.

Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland: where required by law, our Applications ask for Your consent before personalized ads are shown or Your data is used for advertising purposes. You can change Your choice from within the Application where this option is offered.
Android: You can reset Your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
iOS: our Applications only use Your IDFA if You allow it in the “Allow Apps to Request to Track” prompt. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

In-App Purchases

Some of our Applications offer optional in-app purchases. All payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own terms and privacy policies. We never receive or store Your payment card details. We only receive the information needed to confirm and restore Your purchase, such as a transaction identifier and the product purchased.

Analytics

The Website uses Google Analytics 4. If You accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information such as the pages You visit, the games You start, Your browser, Device type and approximate location, and stores it in cookies on Your Device. If You decline, no analytics cookies are set. Google may still receive limited, cookie-less signals that are not used to identify You. Some of our Applications may also use analytics and crash-reporting tools to help Us understand usage and fix problems.

We share information only in the following situations:

With Service Providers that help Us operate the Service, such as Google (AdMob, Google Analytics), other advertising networks used in our Applications, Apple and Google as app store and payment providers, Cloudflare (website hosting and security) and our email and contact form providers. They process data on Our behalf or under their own privacy policies.
For legal reasons: if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (for example a court or a government agency), or to protect the rights, property or safety of the Developer, our users or the public.
For business transfers: if the Service or part of it is sold or transferred, Your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before Your Personal Data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
With Your consent: for any other purpose, with Your consent.

Retention of Your Personal Data

We keep Your Personal Data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Messages You send Us are kept for as long as needed to handle Your request, and then deleted. Data collected by our Service Providers is kept according to their own retention policies (for example, Google Analytics keeps detailed Website data for up to 14 months).

Transfer of Your Personal Data

We are located in Morocco, and our Service Providers may process Your information in other countries, including the United States and countries of the European Union, where data protection laws may differ from those of Your country. We only use Service Providers that apply appropriate safeguards to protect Your data.

Your Rights

Depending on where You live, including under Moroccan Law No. 09-08 and, for users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), You may have the right to:

Because most data in our Applications is collected by our Service Providers and linked only to Your Device’s identifiers, resetting Your advertising ID or changing Your consent choices (see “Advertising”) is often the fastest way to stop its use. Please note that We may need to retain certain information when We have a legal obligation to do so.

Children’s Privacy

Website: the web games on the Website are made for students aged about 12 to 18, and they can be played without giving Us any Personal Data. There are no accounts, no chat and no advertising on the Website, and the games save progress only in the browser on Your Device. Analytics cookies are only set if the visitor accepts them in the cookie banner. The contact form is meant for teachers, parents and other adults; We ask children not to send Us Personal Data.

Applications: our mobile Applications are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 13, or under the minimum age set by the law of their country. If You are a parent or guardian and You believe Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us and We will delete it. If We need to rely on consent as a legal basis for processing Your information and Your country requires consent from a parent, We may require Your parent’s consent before We collect and use that information.

Security of Your Personal Data

The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us, but no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While We use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Personal Data, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Our Service may contain links to other websites and to app store pages that are not operated by Us. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services. We strongly advise You to review the privacy policy of every site You visit.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes are effective when they are posted on this page.
